Services/Products
All our insulation specialists are highly skilled and experienced in the installation of our complete range of products and can advise you accordingly.
Cavity walls – Existing and new builds.
We pressure blow full cavity with water repellent KORE Fill Bonded Beads. The beads are coated with adhesive to enable them to stick together and avoid shrinkage or settlement.
KORE Fill Bonded Bead is approved by Irish Agreement Board, it’s an environment friendly product (manufactured in Ireland) and will achieve a U-value of 0.27 W/m2K with a 110mm cavity and a U-value of 0.20 W/m2K with a cavity of 150mm.
Attic/Roof/loft space insulation – Existing and new builds.
Because the majority of heat in most homes is lost through the ceiling, insulating your attic/loft space is the most fundamental step in creating a more comfortable and energy efficient home.
We can pressure blow 300mm depth of Knauff Earth wool with special attention to maintaining roof ventilation, the benefit of blown is that it fills all voids to maintain a seamless insulation blanket achieving a U-value of 0.13 W/m2K. Alternatively insulation can be provided in Earth wool rolls to the same depth.
We also insure to install 22mm wall lagging to all pipework present in the attic space, including insulated wrap and supported covers to water tanks.
External wall insulation – Existing and new builds.
We can provide a full external thermally insulated, protective, decorative exterior cladding system with a reinforced cement based, mineral or synthetic plaster finish.
The thickness of thermal insulation will be dependent on its application and the most appropriate type of insulation selected (expanded polystyrene, mineral wool, polyurethane foam or phenolic foam). We would undertake the necessary calculations to determine the actual insulation requirements to meet current Building Regulation standards following a site inspection where due consideration will be given to the exposure , durability, likely hood of vandalism, any building elements such concrete beams or lintels that may be acting as thermal bridges and older properties with specific requirements.
Drylining – Existing and new builds.
Internal insulation (commonly referred to as ‘dry-lining walls’) involves fixing insulating material to the inner surfaces of your external walls and covering it with a vapour barrier layer and plasterboard or, alternatively, composite boards of plasterboard backed with insulation and incorporating a vapour barrier.
Types of insulating material used include expanded polystyrene, fibreglass and polyurethane boards.
The thermal performance required will influence type, thickness and application.
